Eid Mubarak

Monday 29 September 2008

WSC - We want to wish Muslims around the world and particularly Somali’s people, Eid Mubarak on this special occasion, days of celebration that conclude the month of fasting and privation.

Eid is an occasion of celebration and festivities, a moment of joy unfortunately for Somalis this joy can’t be complete. One part of our country is still under occupation in the hands of colonial gangs who decide to share the spoil. The game is not yet over and Allah is the only One who decreed and decide the fortune of a people and we are hopeful that this time also we will raise again, the Somali people has shown throughout history its ability to survive but also its forces to unite and came over against enemies and destruction.

We ask Somalis not to forget their brothers who are waking up every day under bombs and bury their dead each day and which tomorrow is yet another day of sorrow. We hope and pray that the next Eid will be a day of complete joy without occupation. Amiin
